The 'RANDOMIZER!'

School is finally winding down and the projects and essays are coming to an end. As one of my last projects for Principles of Interaction Design, my class had to work together in order to come up with a unique way to 'Activate the Park' in OCAD's own Butterfield Park. There were over 400 design students crammed into this small space with their class' own interaction displays, making it a bit crazy!
Ergo, the 'RANDOMIZER'.... a revolutionary spinning contraption that would 'randomly' align itself with a fashionable outfit for you to hunt out between three bins of clothing. Once you were done finding your outfit you would race down the red carpet, past the finish line to have your picture taken and added to the Fashion Wall of Fame! Now doesn't that sound like fun or what?! Unfortunately, having always wanted to spin the wheel, with great force, like they do on shows such as Wheel of Fortune and the Price's Right I broke the Randomizer! Who would have known my muscles and sheer strength would be too much for the machine!?... heh... (really it was just poorly constructed out of cardboard boxes and some piping). After fixing the central piece to our game, I was told to keep my distance from it... Doh! Good times... I think i'm ready to meet Bob Barker and Pat Sajak now!
